Rhea Ricard

Board Member 

Rhea Ricard grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.   She spent her junior year of college abroad in Paris, France, at the Institute of European Studies.   After graduating from Spelman, she earned her Juris Doctorate from the New York University School of Law.  She is admitted to practice law in California and New York.

Rhea has spent most of her career representing banks on multiple types of corporate trust transactions.  She moved to the Los Angeles area in 2001, and is currently a Managing Counsel and Managing Director at BNY Mellon, where she represents BNY Mellon’s corporate trust department on municipal transactions.     

Rhea is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the Alliance of Moms (an affiliate organization of the Alliance for Children’s Rights), the Association of Corporate Counsel and Corporate Counsel Women of Color.  Most of her community service focuses on young people, through volunteering at her local elementary school, serving on the scholarship committee of the Alpha Kappa Alpha chapter in Long Beach, and working with children at St. Anne’s Residential Facility through the Alliance of Moms.  She enjoys spending her free time with her family.
